BIW develops and produces high-quality silicone and textile solutions such as hoses, cable protection systems, and electrical insulation sleeves. Quality inspection had previously been highly labor-intensive: many checks were performed visually on light tables or manually during the running process, and an older camera system was reaching its technical limits. The AI now reliably detects even the smallest defects, such as material flaws, contamination, and air bubbles in hoses, as well as micro-holes in cable protection systems that can impair dielectric strength.
