Our customer produces over 70,000 meters of brake hoses daily, which are inspected both manually by staff and through an automated vision system. The existing inspection system frequently identified defects that were not actually present, such as minor surface imperfections or color deviations. This resulted in a pseudo-scrap rate of approximately 5%. Additionally, the company experienced several customer complaints each year, necessitating costly manual sorting actions.

To significantly reduce the pseudo-scrap rate and slippage, the Maddox AI inspection system combines the existing camera hardware with Maddox AI software. Common defect types that are detected include surface flaws like scratches, cuts, and other damages from prior production steps.
