Customer Request

Our client produces over 50,000 plastic membranes daily, with a defect rate of 5%. Until now, the manual inspection of these parts was carried out by three employees per shift. This approach led to issues with pseudo scrap and slippage, negatively impacting the efficiency of quality control and resulting in customer complaints.

To tackle these challenges, Maddox AI has developed an innovative, fully automated inspection device. This system inspects the parts using four cameras from different angles, allowing for precise detection of various surface defects.

Nine employees were previously responsible for quality control each day, resulting in a high level of manual effort and associated costs.

The quality inspection is now nearly fully automated, significantly reducing manual labor and greatly improving the efficiency of the checks.

Approximately 5% of the produced parts were classified as defective, with a significant portion attributed to pseudo scrap.

Thanks to the accuracy of the Maddox AI system, the pseudo scrap rate has been reduced by around 70%.

Due to inaccuracies in manual inspections, several customer complaints arose each year.
