Our customer produces countless capsules every day. The greatest challenge lies in the product changeover between two capsule types: to avoid any mixing, the system is partially emptied – resulting in up to 60,000 discarded capsules per changeover. This leads to high scrap rates, unnecessary costs, and reduced sustainability.

The customer’s goal was to automate this scrap-intensive and manual process without compromising detection accuracy

Es wurde manuell in drei Schichten mit insgesamt sechs Mitarbeitenden kontrolliert. Die Erkennungsgenauigkeit variierte je nach Kontrolleur:in.

Durch das fehlerhafte Bestücken von Leiterplatten, wurde mit einer zu hohen Ausschussquote gefertigt.

Da die Prüfergebnisse nicht digitalisiert waren, wurde keine strukturierte Ursachenanalyse für die Produktion von NOK-Teilen durchgeführt.

Alle Produkte werden 100 % automatisch nach einer präzisen Fehlerdefinition geprüft. Die Bedienung der Prüfanlage erfolgt durch einen Mitarbeitenden pro Schicht.

Seit der Installation von Maddox AI wurde die Ausschussquote um 25 % reduziert.

Dank des digitalisierten Prüfprozesses konnten Prozessoptimierungen realisiert werden (z.B. direkter Feedbackloop zur Maschineneinstellung).
