Customer Request

Our customer produces rainwater downpipes used for roof drainage in buildings.

Quality assurance was performed on a sample basis at defined time intervals by operators. A 100% inspection was not implemented, as such a process would have been too labor- and technology-intensive.

The goal was to fully automate this critical inspection process, particularly under the constraint that the pipes must not be moved or rotated. At the same time, personnel costs were to be reduced and defect rates minimized.
