Our customer produces SiC rings for use in industrial machinery. The components were previously inspected manually by 12 employees in a single-shift operation, five days a week. The inspectors were responsible not only for visual inspection but also for rework and packaging of the components. Despite the team’s extensive experience and diligence, manual inspection was time-consuming and prone to errors. The goal was to automate the visual inspection to relieve inspection staff, enable more targeted rework, and ensure measurable quality, especially with larger production volumes.
