Our customer manufactures bearing cages for rolling bearings used in industrial, rail-bound, and maritime applications. Until now, visual inspection of the components was carried out manually by five specialized employees per shift, using magnifying glasses. Depending on the product type, between 50 and 680 parts are produced daily, with particularly high requirements for surface finish. The goal was to fully replace manual inspection with an automated system that covers all relevant surfaces.
